West Tennessee Healthcare Employees Selected for National Leadership Program

JACKSON -- West Tennessee Healthcare is pleased to announce two of its employees have been selected for the national Disparities Leadership Program (DLP). Dr. Rose Bailey, Operations Support Specialist, Administration and Katie Chandler, Director, Guest Resources were chosen to participate in a year-long executive leadership program designed to tackle racial and ethnic disparities in health care. Bailey and Chandler are two of only 25 individuals from 15 health care organizations from around the United States selected for the 2017-2018 Disparities Leadership Program.

The Disparities Leadership Program is designed for leaders from hospitals, health insurance plans, and other health care organizations who are seeking to develop practical strategies to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health care.The program is led by the Disparities Solutions Center at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Disparities Leadership Program is jointly sponsored by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and supported by Joint Commission Resources (JCR), an affiliate of the Joint Commission.
